The foundation of what we thought we knew has crumbled over this past year. This caused many chain reactions, collapsing our old ideas and forcing us all to really think about who we are and what we know to be true and just. "The time has come” the walrus said "to talk of many things: of shoes and ships and sealing wax- of cabbages- and kings- and why the sea is boiling hot and whether pigs have wings.” 

The time has come to redefine our connections with each other and our world. While it feels like years ago now, walking into our studio felt like coming home, warm and inviting. It was home to our expansion as fellow creatives. We miss getting our hands dirty, sharing all of our different skills, the laughs, the music but most of all, we miss you. You! As we must redefine our social culture, we have been hard at work redefining Takoma Ceramics. 

Trevor, founder of Takoma Ceramics and Amanda, founder of Collect the Feels have come together to create the Cloud Collection, smokeware for humans. Our full line will be shipping November 1st. As children of the ever expanding universe, our goal is to contribute to something bigger than any one, to inspire the insight to see your own humanness, to get your head in the clouds. 

Each piece is a child of quarantine as we smashed our minds together trying to make sense of the evolving world. Handmade start to finish in our studio, we selected each color and style with you in mind. We want to invoke the sense of community and warmth our studio once shared (and will again someday), to bring you back home and to remind us all that the redefinition of our new world can be one that is whole.

As freethinkers, it is upon us all to understand that social and environmental justice are two sides of the same coin and that we have this opportunity in our ever expanding universe to explore and contribute to a greater creative collective conscience together.
